About

Kavana is a Software Engineer from India who moved to the United States in 2014 to pursue a Master’s degree and currently works for a software company in Seattle, Washington. Her decade-long journey in the United States has been a roller coaster ride, with ups and downs on academic, personal, and emotional fronts. Along the way, she developed a deep connection to spirituality, embracing yoga asana (physical poses), pranayama (breathwork), and dhyana (meditation). Pranayama, in particular, became a cornerstone of her self-discovery, helping her cultivate awareness, foster balance, and lead a more harmonious life.In 2023, Kavana completed a Pranayama teacher training course to deepen her understanding of these powerful techniques. Inspired by their transformative impact, she launched Arivu Wellness to empower people to prioritize their mental health and cultivate self-awareness throughout all stages of life.“Arivu" means awareness in Kannada, a language spoken predominantly in the state of Karnataka, her home state.
